A single sheet, folded into a tight zigzag, is pulled taut by copper wires strung horizontally across a wooden frame, like a section cut through a mountain range, or a seismograph reading turned solid. The tension in the wires keeps the folded form from collapsing, so the piece exists in a state of held stress: a landscape, or a body, permanently bracing against a force we can't see.
